What it is: gradual self-tanner that also works to moisturize skin.
Where to get it: Ulta is the only place I've seen it so far (in the full size). I'm sure its sold over the internet somewhere.
How much: about $7-$8 however, I only paid $0.99 for my trial size (which I got at the 99cents store).
What I like about it: there's no smell, it didn't streak or get all blotchy, it moisturized my skin and made it feel super soft.
What could be improved: it takes at least 7+ minutes to fully dry. The package says that you should wait to dry off completely before putting anything on, so that means you have to stay naked for awhile. Not good since I'm kinda impatient.
Overall: I do like this product and will probably purchase it again. Even though I'm already tanned, sometimes I need a little bit of help because my tan is uneven (ex: driving a lot during the day can leave one arm darker than the other, etc). So having a product like this really comes in handy, especially since it works gradually. I didn't experience any flaking or weird discoloration as the tan was fading away, that's always a good thing.
What it is: volumizing mascara with a hint of sparkle.
Where to get it: drugstores, discount department stores
How much: $6-$8
What I like about it: made my lashes look thick and didn't clump.
What could be improved: i'm not really sure.
Overall: i guess the sparkles just aren't doing it for me. it keeps the mascara from appearing black, and i LOVE really bold, black lashes. What it is: matte lipstick
Where to get it: drugstores, discount department stores
How much: $5-$8 (mine were $7.99 at CVS, BOGO Free)
What I like about it: looks matte but feels very creamy
What could be improved: there aren't that many shades to choose from. The two colors I bought are the only two light colors, there rest are pretty dark.
Overall: Like I said, the other shades in this collection are too dark for my taste, so I probably wouldn't buy anything else. But, I do recommend this line, if you're tired of shiny, shimmery shades, give this product a try. My fave of the two is definitely the nude one because I can mix it with other colors much better. The pink one is a little hard to pull off for everyday wear, but its a very nice shade of pink w/a hint of lavender. What it is: Lipstick
Where to buy: drugstores, discount department stores
How much: $6-$8
Likes: both are very creamy, stays put
Dislikes: the pink one is listed as "pearl" but i found it too frosty
Overall: i like them, but i dont love them. the red one is nice, very rich in pigment, i think i like the red one much more than the pink one. it could be the color or the formula, not sure which. the pink one, like i said, is too frosty. i know pearl is suppose to give off a bit of shine but it shouldnt be too shiny. it actually gave off a white-ish cast. I know it's called Silver City Pink but i don't think it should look ghost-ish. What it is: Body wash
Where to buy: drugstores, discount department stores
How much: $2-$3
Likes: i love this product! it leaves my skin feeling clean and ultra soft, and it's got a nice buttery, sweet smell.
Dislikes: nothing
Overall: I totally recommend this product! i've tried more expensives brands and other inexpensive brands and this one is right on the money. It's less than 3 dollars, and performs incredibly well! What it is: Hand & body lotion
Where to buy: discount department stores, drugstores
how much: $2-$3
Likes: everything
Dislikes: nothing
Overall: I think this is gonna be my new HG moisturizer!!! It leaves me with a nice, light, cocoa-ish but sweet scent, and it moisturizes like my beloved Victoria's Secret Body Butter but for less than HALF the price and TWICE as much product. What it is: shampoo & conditioner
Where to buy: drugstores, target, walmart, etc.
How much: $1-$3 each, depends where you buy them.
Likes: made my hair soft, and smell nice.
Dislikes: i didn't notice any significant shine.
Overall: the product claims vibrant shine, and in my case that area was a fail. but it could just be because my hair is more damaged than the average person's hair. if you're in search for a product that helps give shine to hair, then you COULD give this product a try. it didn't deliver in my case, but it could work magic for you. besides, you get plenty of product for very little money and that should be worth the try. Also, as I've mentioned, the product does leave my hair smelling nice and feeling very soft, so even if it doesn't work, it's not a complete waste of money. What it is: Shampoo & conditioner designed for color treated hair.
Where to get it: discount department stores
How much: less than $2 each
What I like about it: smells good, leaves my hair smelling good, too.
What could be improved: nothing really.
Overall: I love this shampoo & conditioner! A lot of people think that cheap products give cheap results, but I beg to differ when refering to these! This set truly helped my hair color last, about 2-3 extra weeks. Plus the conditioner really made my hair soft and helped it shine. What it is: creamy lipstick infused w/honey nectar.
Where to get it: drugstores, discount department stores
How much: $6-$8
What I like about it: I love the creamy-ness of this lippie. It glides on very well and leaves my lips feeling very soft.
What could be improved: it says it contains "honey nectar" but I'll tell ya, it smells NOTHING like honey. I actually really don't like how it smells at all.
Overall: since I got a very neutral color, I can't really tell you how pigmented this product is. When I swatched it, the color was pretty true but on my lips, it blends in well. Maybe its close to my lip color? I don't know, but still, I really like this lippie. Despite the smell, its a really great cream lipstick and I love how it makes my lips feel.
Wet'n Wild Lip Lacquer Wild Shine in 921 Passionate What it is: vibrant shine lipstick
Where to get it: drugstores, (discount) department stores
How much: $2-$3
What I like about it: this particular color is quite pigmented. It's also very creamy and has just enough shine w/out being too shimmery. It also didn't feather.
What could be improved: definitely didn't last more than an hour or so. But then again, it didn't claim that it would, but still. It'd be nice not to have to keep re-applying. Also, you gotta be careful capping & re-capping the product. The actual lipstick sticks out a bit so if you're not careful, you could accidentaly slice off the tip & waste the product.
Overall: I really like this color. Its pink, its vibrant, it shines AND its fairly inexpensive. If you're into lippies and bright colors, this is a great pick. But if you want something that'll stick with you through heavy partying (or whatever), you'd need to look elsewhere. What it is: high definition liquid foundation. This is the stuff MUFE makeup artists use on celebrities under scrutiny of high definition cameras.
Where to get it: Sephora & anywhere Makeup Forever products are sold.
How much: $40 USD
What I like about it: this item is totally, TOTALLY worth the $40 price tag! It gave me medium coverage, but since it's buildable, I was able to layer it on to more problematic areas. This saves time because I didn't need to put on a separate concealer. It didn't leave my face cakey or feel heavy at all. It also stay on almost the whole day. I wore it out when I knew I would be outside, I wanted to really test how long it would last even on the hottest day. This product really knows how to hold on tight!
What could be improved: nothing really, actually... maybe nothing at all. I love this foundation!
Overall: I recommend this for anyone & everyone who's looking for a great, reliable, liquid foundation. I know the price might put you off, but one drop truly goes a long way. This product blends easily and seamlessly with the skin. I recommend using it with a stippling brush for a truly air-brushed looking finish. What it is: flavored, tinted lipgloss
Where to get it: www.lindasellsmark.com
How much: $6
What I like about it: this product (in this particular color) leaves a very nice pinky tint on my lips. It also smells really nice, reminds me of melon flavored bubblegum. It doesn't feel waxy at all. This reminds me of lip balm but a more liquidy version.
What could be improved: the product claims to be flavored but it didn't taste like anything special, but that's not really a big deal, it's not like I'm trying to eat the whole tube or anything. Actually, it didn't smell like what its named after, too. It didn't smell bad, but I just though if something was named after peaches that it would smell like peaches.
Overall: I really like this product. Regardless of what it smells like or its lack of flavor, the product really delivers. It left my lips soft & glossy, just the way I like it. This product is very comparable to Lancome's Juicy Tubes Jelly, but for way less than half the price!
What it is: light reflecting lipgloss
Where to get it: any Dior counter, Dior online, or Sephora stores & online.
How much: $25.50 USD
What I like about it: most lipglosses just do their jobs and gloss your lips, but I feel like these kinda soften my lips too. I'd say this feels a bit like lip balm but in a liquid form. This color, in particular, has quite some pigment to it. There's also very little shimmer to it, and its very smooth looking.
What could be improved: the price is a bit steep, but its Dior so you kinda expect it to be. Plus there's only a few colors in this specific collection and a few of them look very similar to eachother.
Overall: I love this gloss! I have one, maybe 2, other colors I'm planning on purchasing. The others don't impress me, especially since they look alike. Still, this product is really great.
What it is: Blemish Balm Cream that helps skin look luminous.
Where to get it: this was part of a miniature set of four that I received from eBay.
How much: aprrox. $10 for the mini set of 4, but approx $20-$30 for a full tube.
What I like about it: feels smooth on the skin.
What could be improved: indeed it does make the skin LOOK luminous, but too much of the product makes you look sparkly! The little luminous ingredients are actually tiny bits of what looks like glitter. So yea, I don't know about all that.
Overall: I will most definitely, never even think about buying the full tube of this product.
What it is: Blemish Balm Cream that helps whiten the skin, contains spf 25, and helps to reduce wrinkles.
Where to get it: this one was part of a miniature set of four that I received from eBay.
How much: the mini set of 4 cost approx. $10 but for a full tube, anywhere from $20-$30
What I like about it: feels smooth on my skin.
What could be improved: the tube didn't contain much in it, so it almost feels like a 2 day trial. Which of course, is not enough time to see weather or not it's really helping with wrinkles and what not. Also, the coverage is way too sheer.
Overall: it's OK, I'd never purchase the full tube however. The product didn't really amaze me.
What it is: powder blush
Where to get it: EyesLipsFace.com
How much: $1
What I like about it: I love EVERYTHING about it. The color is lovely against my golden-olive skin. It also blends really well, surprisingly well, since most inexpensive blushes are so cheaply made that they look harsh even after blending for so long.
What could be improved: nothing, I love this blush.
Overall: if you have no idea which color blush to get, definitely give this one a shot! In case you don't like it as blush, the color is pretty enough to use as eyeshadow.
What it is: colored cream stick that may be applied to eyes, lips, & face.
Where to get it: EyesLipsFace.com
How much: $1
What I like about it: I love this color! It's sheer and gives off just enough glow. Perfect for highlighting.
What could be improved: I know it only costs a buck, but there simply just isn't a lot of product in it. I just want a little more bang for my buck, that's all.
Overall: its worth a try. I don't necessary recommend this for everyone, a lot of people might not find it useful. But if you're into makeup as much as me, you'll find ways of including this in your routine.
What it is: lip plumper & gloss, double ended tube.
Where to get it: EyesLipsFace.com
How much: $1
What I like about it: this particular shade is really pretty! It really lives up to its name, baby doll. Consistency wise, its not tacky or sticky, goes on smooth. Perfect for everyday. Plus it gives off a nice cooling effect.
What could be improved: its a little difficult to get it out of the tube. You gotta scoop out the product little by little to get enough to put on your lips. Also, it doesn't plump my lips at all.
Overall: this is a really great product, and not just for its price. I think its a really great product over all. They have plenty of shades to choose from, any lip-junkie should definitely check this out!
What it is: BB Cream or Blemish Balm Cream w/light reflecting ingredients to create a luminous effect.
Where to get it: any Asian or Korean beauty store, can be found all over the internet.
How much: I got a sample sachet, but I've seen this product range from $25-$35.
What I like about it: a good makeupbase, as it creates a smooth canvas. Great for highlighting certain areas of the face.
What could be improved: I understand its supposed to be "glossy" but I don't know if its supposed to look "glazed". This product is definitely not for darker skinned people and definitely not good to use all over the face.
Overall: I'd probably never buy the full sized tube of this, it just didn't impress me enough. I mean, it felt good when smoothed on, but my old moisturizers from Dermalogica, Benefit, and Ambi did the same thing and made my skin feel softer w/out didn't leave me looking like glazed ham.
What it is: deeply emollient, scented cream.
Where to get it: Victoria's Secret online & in-stores
How much: $9.50 each OR 3/$24, 5/$30, 7/$35; can be mix & matched with other VS Secret Garden products/scents.
What I like about it: this stuff is definitely emollient. It smoothes on and leaves my skin incredibly soft and super moisturized.
What could be improved: nothing really, this is good stuff.
Overall: I'm sure if you're a VS lover, you've already been exposed to this product. But in the case that you haven't had the chance to try this out, you really should head to your nearest VS store and see what's up. It comes in a variety of scents, so you're bound to find one that suites your taste. You'll find this product very useful, especially if you live where the weather dries out your skin or if you just happen to have very dry skin.
